Let\u2019s now understand what the term Conscious Parenting means. To me, the word <\/span>conscious<\/span><\/i> is associated with curiosity, and <\/span>parenting<\/span><\/i> is associated with nurturing.<\/span><\/p>\n Curiosity is a value of the heart. It is a feeling that cannot be reached through thought or language. It is a silent space in the mind, within all human beings, that arises naturally when we intentionally engage and listen without thinking. Being curious has the potential to birth a new you.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=”http:\/\/jilnajasani.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/N-vs.-N-The-Origin-of-The-Foundations-of-Conscious-Parenting_1-scaled.jpg” align=”center” _builder_version=”4.4.2″ height=”588px”][\/et_pb_image][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.4.2″ text_font_size=”19px” custom_padding=”||13px|||”]<\/p>\n As for nurturing, intellectually we know that the nature of a mother is to nurture her child. Throughout the animal kingdom, new life resides inside its mother before coming into the world. It\u2019s no wonder we feel an intense bond with our children, one that can never be explained in thought or language.<\/span><\/p>\n So we are essentially exploring and understanding our natural curiosity of what it means to be a mother, which will give a rise to understanding what it means to be a child.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n By understanding ourselves, we will learn to see how we have different perceptions from our children and the world we exist in.\u00a0 This understanding will help us see that our children have different perceptions of us and the world they exist in.<\/span><\/p>\n Take for example, a four-year-old who pushes his baby brother, because the baby is playing with his toy.\u00a0 Can we consider that the four-year-old may have pushed the baby because his toy was taken without permission?\u00a0 Can we also consider that the baby just happened to pick up the toy, not knowing it was his brother\u2019s?\u00a0 Both could be true.\u00a0 And neither is the complete truth.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
